360. Right is
restraint in the eye,
restraint in the ear is right, right is restraint in the nose, restraint in the tongue is right. |
360. Laønh thay, phoøng hoä
maét!
Laønh thay, phoøng hoä tai! Laønh thay, phoøng hoä muõi! Laønh thay, phoøng hoä löôõi. |
361. Right is
restraint in the body,
restraint in speech is right, right is restraint in the mind, everywhere restraint is right. The bhikkhu everywhere restrained is from all dukkha free. |
361. Laønh thay phoøng hoä
thaân!
Laønh thay, phoøng hoä lôøi, Laønh thay, phoøng hoä yù. Laønh thay, phoøng taát caû. Tyû kheo phoøng taát caû, Thoaùt ñöôïc moïi khoå ñau. |
362. With hands
controlled and feet controlled,
in speech as well as head controlled, delighting in inward collectedness alone, content, a bhikkhu's called. |
362. Ngöôøi cheá ngöï
tay chaân,
Cheá ngöï lôøi vaø ñaàu, Vui thích noäi thieàn ñònh, Ñoäc thaân, bieát vöøa ñuû, Thaät xöùng goïi tyû kheo. |
363. Whatever
bhikkhu tongue-controlled
speaks wisely and who is not proud, who theory and practice can expound, sweet as honey is his speech. |
363. Tyû kheo cheá ngöï
mieäng,
Vöøa lôøi, khoâng coáng cao, Khi trình baøy phaùp nghóa, Lôøi leõ dòu ngoït ngaøo. |
364. The bhikkhu
who in Dhamma dwells,
in Dhamma delighting and pondering, remembering the Dhamma -- he does not decline from Dhamma True. |
364. Vò tyû kheo thích
Phaùp,
Meán phaùp, suy tö Phaùp. Taâm tö nieäm chaùnh Phaùp, Khoâng rôøi boû chaùnh Phaùp. |
365. He should
not disdain his gains
nor live of others envious, the bhikkhu who is envious does not attain collectedness. |
365. Khoâng khinh ñieàu
mình ñöôïc,
Khoâng ganh ngöôøi khaùc ñöôïc, Tyû kheo ganh tî ngöôøi, Khoâng sao chöùng Thieàn Ñònh. |
366. Disdaining
not his gains,
though little he receives, pure of life and keen that bhikkhu devas praise. |
366. Tyû kheo daàu ñöôïc
ít,
Khoâng khinh ñieàu mình ñöôïc, Soáng thanh tònh khoâng nhaùc, Chö thieân khen vò naøy. |
367. For whom
there is no making "mine"
towards all name and form, who does not grieve for what is not, he's truly "bhikkhu" called. |
367. Hoaøn toaøn, ñoái
danh saéc,
Khoâng chaáp Ta, cuûa Ta. Khoâng chaáp, khoâng saàu naõo. Thaät xöùng danh Tyû kheo. |
368. The bhikkhu
in kindness abiding,
bright in the Buddha's Teaching can come to the Place of Peace, the bliss of conditionedness ceased. |
368. Tyû kheo truù Töø
Bi,
Tín thaønh giaùo Phaùp Phaät, Chöùng caûnh giôùi tòch tænh. Caùc haïnh an tònh laïc. |
369. O bhikkhu
bail this boat,
when emptied it will swiftly go. Having severed lust and hate thus to Nibbana you'll go. |
369. Tyû kheo, taùt thuyeàn
naøy,
Thuyeàn khoâng, nheï ñi mau. Tröø tham, dieät saân haän, Taát chöùng ñaït Nieát Baøn. |
370. Five cut
off and five forsake,
a further five then cultivate, a bhikkhu from five fetter free is called a "Forder of the flood". |
370. Ñoaïn naêm [1],
töø boû naêm [2],
Tu taäp naêm [3] toái thöôïng, Tyû kheo caét naêm troùi [4], Xöùng danh vöôït "boäc löu" [5]. |
371. Meditate
bhikkhu! Don't be heedless!
Don't let pleasures whirl the mind! Heedless, do not gulp a glob of iron! Bewail not when burning, "This is dukkha"! |
371. Tyû kheo, haõy tu thieàn,
Chôù buoâng lung phoùng daät, Taâm chôù ñaém say duïc, Phoùng daät, nuoát saét noùng Bò ñoát, chôù than khoå! |
372. No concentration
wisdom lacks,
no wisdom concentration lacks, in whom are both these qualities near to Nibbana is that one. |
372. Khoâng trí tueä, khoâng
thieàn,
Khoâng thieàn, khoâng trí tueä. Ngöôøi coù thieàn coù tueä, Nhaát ñònh gaàn Nieát Baøn. |
373. The bhikkhu
gone to a lonely place
who is of peaceful heart in-sees Dhamma rightly, knows all-surpassing joy. |
373. Böôùc vaøo ngoâi nhaø
troáng,
Tyû kheo taâm an tònh, Thoï höôûng vui sieâu nhaân, Tònh quaùn theo chaùnh phaùp. |
374. Whenever
one reflects
on aggregates' arise and fall one rapture gains and joy. 'Tis Deathless for Those-who-know. |
374. Ngöôøi luoân luoân
chaùnh nieäm,
Söï sanh dieät caùc uaån, Ñöôïc hoan hyû, haân hoan, Chæ baäc baát töû bieát. |
375. Here's
indeed the starting point
for the bhikkhu who is wise, sense-controlled, contented too, restrained to limit freedom ways, in company of noble friends who're pure of life and keen. |
375. Ñaây Tyû kheo coù
trí,
Tu taäp phaùp caên baûn Hoä caên, bieát vöøa ñuû, Gìn giöõ caên baûn giôùi, Thöôøng gaàn guõi baïn laønh, Soáng thanh tònh tinh caàn. |
376. One should
be hospitable
and skilled in good behaviour, thereby greatly joyful come to dukkha's end. |
376. Giao thieäp kheùo thaân
thieän,
Cöû chæ möïc ñoan trang. Do vaäy höôûng vui nhieàu, Seõ döùt moïi khoå ñau. |
377. Just as
the jasmine sheds
its shrivelled flowers all, O bhikkhus so should you lust, aversion shed. |
377. Nhö hoa Vassika [6],
Quaêng boû caùnh uùa taøn, Cuõng vaäy vò Tyû kheo, Haõy giaûi thoaùt tham saân. |
378. That bhikkhu
calmed of body, speech,
calmed and well-composed of mind, who world-enjoyments has renounced, "one calmed" indeed is truly called. |
378. Thaân tònh, lôøi
an tònh,
An tònh, kheùo thieàn tònh. Tyû kheo boû theá vaät, Xöùng danh baäc tòch tònh. |
379. By yourself
exhort yourself!
By yourself restrain yourself! So mindful and self-guarded too, happily, bhikkhu, will you live. |
379. Töï mình chæ trích
mình,
Töï mình doø xeùt mình, Tyû kheo töï phoøng hoä, Chaùnh nieäm truù an laïc. |
380. Oneself
is refuge of oneself
and one is a haven for oneself, therefore one should check oneself as a merchant with a splendid horse. |
380. Töï mình y chæ mình,
Töï mình ñi ñeán mình, Vaäy haõy töï ñieàu phuïc, Nhö khaùch buoân ngöïa hieàn. |
381. The bhikkhu
full of joy and faith,
bright in the Buddha's Teaching can come to the Place of Peace, the bliss of conditionedness ceased. |
381. Tyû kheo nhieàu haân
hoan,
Tònh tín giaùo phaùp Phaät, Chöùng caûnh giôùi tòch tònh, Caùc haïnh an tònh laïc. |
382. Surely
that youthful bhikkhu who
strives in the Buddha's Teaching illuminates all this world as moon when free from clouds. |
382. Tyû kheo tuy tuoåi
nhoû
Sieâng tu giaùo phaùp Phaät, Soi saùng theá gian naøy, Nhö traêng thoaùt khoûi maây. |
